This cheekpiece is a combination of a hackamore and a bit. The hackamore combination is a cheekpiece with leverage and gives pressure on the nose, chin and in the mouth. The longer the shanks of the hackamore the stronger the effect. This combination with long shanks has a sharper effect than the hackamore combi short. These bits are often used with very enthusiastic horses in the ring. Because of the leverage effect this is a quite sharp bit and therefore not suitable for the inexperienced rider.
This is a straight mouthpiece with a low port. The port allows freedom of the tongue. The port creates space for the tongue and decreases the pressure on the centre of the horse's tongue. More tongue freedom is ideal for horses that have a sensitive tongue or horses who stick their tongue out. This bit is not suitable for the inexperienced rider.
The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity, the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more, which in turn will encourage a better acceptance of the bit.
The bits of TRUST equestrian are ultra-Dutch. All bits are designed, developed and handmade in the Netherlands. Every day a team of technical professionals works on the production of the TRUST bits. TRUST bits are composed with the greatest care and made of the best materials, the quality control and standard is therefore very high. TRUST bits are anatomically shaped. The balance between shape, material and weight is constantly taken into account. TRUST bits are slightly curved so that they are better shaped towards the horse’s mouth. Because of this anatomical shape, the bit lies better in the mouth and the pressure is better distributed. The TRUST bits are available in 3 materials, 20 mouthpieces and 31 cheekpieces. There are an infinite number of combinations possible so that a right bit can be found for every horse.
