The hackamore is used for riding without a bit. The hackamore has a lever action and puts pressure on the nose and behind the ears. When taking the reins, the space between the nose and chin strap becomes smaller and this creates pressure on the nose. The shanks provide pressure behind the ears. The longer the shanks of the hackamore, the stronger the effect. Due to the lever action, this is a fairly sharp bit and therefore not suitable for the inexperienced rider.

The bits from TRUST equestrian are typically Dutch. All bits are designed, developed and handmade in the Netherlands. A team of technical professionals works on the production every day. The bits are put together with the greatest care and made from the best materials. The quality control and standard are therefore very high. With every design, the balance between shape, material and weight is continuously taken into account. The bits of TRUST are slightly curved so that they fit better to the mouth of the horse. Due to this anatomical shape, the bit fits better in the mouth and the pressure is better distributed. With the wide choice of mouthpieces, cheek pieces and materials, TRUST strives to have a suitable bit for every horse.
