The Pelham cheekpiece combines the action of a snaffle and a double bridle. The bit has one mouthpiece but can be ridden with either one or two reins. When ridden with one rein, pelham roundings are required to connect the bit rings to the shanks. The Pelham is a leverage bit: the longer the shanks, the stronger the effect. The Baby Pelham has shorter shanks and therefore provides a milder action than a standard Pelham. A Pelham bit is mainly used for strong horses, horses with limited space in the mouth for two mouthpieces, or horses transitioning to a double bridle. This bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.

The Inno Sense Hard Port is made from synthetic material and is rigid and non-flexible. The tongue port creates additional tongue relief, reducing pressure on the tongue and distributing it more evenly over the bars. This makes the bit ideal for horses with sensitive tongues or horses that stick out their tongue.
