The gag bit encourages the horse to raise its head and is often used for horses that tend to lean behind the bit. When rein pressure is applied, the mouthpiece slides upward, creating pressure on the corners of the mouth and behind the poll. The bit can be used with one or two reins or with pelham roundings. In most cases, the bit is ridden with two reins: one rein is attached normally to the bit, while the second rein is attached to one of the lower rings or to the ends of the gag cheeks. This allows the rider to use the gag action only when really necessary. This bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.

The Inno Sense Flexi Soft bits are made from elastic synthetic material and are highly flexible, making the bit very horse-friendly. Despite the flexibility, the Inno Sense Flexi Soft bit remains very solid thanks to its flexible stainless steel core.

Bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for all horses but are particularly suitable for young horses and horses with sensitive mouths. The synthetic material used is FDA-approved, meaning it is non-toxic and free from plasticizers. Horses ridden with an Inno Sense mouthpiece easily follow the rider’s hand and readily accept the bit. The Inno Sense Flexi Soft is less suitable for very strong horses.
